The Mission

August 11th, 2006

The adventurers set out on their employer Varrus’ mission, and appear to accomplish it? (af, mo)

As the party surveys the carnage, some of them find that their sense of satisfaction is marred somewhat by the parting words of one of the pirates – “You fools, you have no idea what you have done”. Pan, on the other hand, sums up the situation succintly:
“To the contrary, I think that we know exactly what we have done.

“We’ve attacked a group of poorly armed people with little or no provocation at the request of someone we’ve never met and whom no one trusts.  This same person has sent two ‘helpers’ of little redeeming moral value (and a poor attitude).  We have faced opposition from people of unverifiable alignment, and have exhibited poor decision making based on miniscule amounts of information gleaned from unreliable sources.

“Everything seems status quo so far…  I’m just happy I got to go smashy-smashy.

“‘No idea what we’ve done’ indeed!

“Of course, I’m just a Barbarian.  I leave the thinking to those with smaller swords.”
Not knowing quite what to say in response, they stabilize the two surviving leaders of the pirate group, and while they are unconcious, Basil assures them that they will recover in a few days.  Same with their erstwhile friends Drantula and Fisk, who are bound securely with ropes.
